Why Easit Map™?
With Easit Map™, you can use maps in your forms. This gives you the opportunity to select or display the position of e.g. a request directly on a map – a useful feature for error reporting, for example. This may be used to show where a tree has fallen in a park, specify position of a broken streetlight or a place where graffiti needs to be decontaminated.
Maps can be used in desktop mode, in the mobile interface and in Easit Self Service™. Since the map function is available in the mobile interface, it is possible for a user on the move to easily locate or report the location of a case. You can also view and get information about other nearby objects in the map, such as other similar requests in the vicinity.

How does it work?
Your current position is displayed on the map by using the “HTML Geolocation API”, that is, identification of the geographical position of a mobile phone or computer. The position (longitude and latitude) is provided by the browser but is available only after the user’s consent.
Easit Map™ is offered in cooperation with Sokigo, a leading provider of Geographic IT and GIS. Sokigo has extensive experience and expertise in digital maps.
The basic map included in the license is Open Street Map. If you would rather use your own map, or a map from third parties such as Google Maps, Sokigo or other, it is possible at an extra cost. However, the map must be available as a WMS map service.
Contact Easit Support for more information and prices.
To use the map feature in Easit BPS™, a license for Easit Map™ is required. In addition, the system must be running over SSL (HTTPS).
